A small house of garments, made slowly, deliberately.
Sample began as a single coat — sketched on the back of a Brera café receipt, made by a friend in his father's workshop outside Biella.
Six years on, the house remains intentionally small. We work with twelve ateliers — each chosen for a single discipline, each producing fewer than 80 pieces per style.
Material
Fibres are sourced no further than 600km from the cutting room. We list every mill on every garment.
Construction
Half-canvas, hand-finished hems and natural shoulders. The interior matters as much as the surface.
Permanence
Every piece is designed to be repairable. We re-line, re-lapel and re-button — for the life of the garment.
We don't believe in seasons in the marketing sense. Our calendar is dictated by weather and weight.
Two collections a year. Quiet capsules between. Pieces re-issued when we still wear them, retired when we don't.
